Onze ambassadeurs

Studerende Topsporters Ambassadeurs

2026 - 2027 Youri Zijlstra

FISU Ambassadeurs

2026-2027 Bernarda Seveleviciute

I’m Bernarda, a20-year-old third year International Sport Management student from Lithuania, currently studying at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Sport has always been a big part of my life — I’ve tried quite a few different sports, but basketball has always been my favourite to follow. Growing up in Lithuania, where basketball is almost a second religion, that probably comes as no surprise! My international experiences, from living and studying abroad to volunteering at international sporting events, have shown me how much sport can bring people together, regardless of where they come from, what language they speak or what their skills are. For the 2026–2027 season, I’ll be a FISU Ambassador representing SSN. I’m really excited to meet people from different countries, exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives and most importantly contribute to making student sport more connected, international and inclusive.

2025 - 2026 Alise Lase

Originally from Latvia, but currently living in the Netherlands. She comes from The Hague University of Applied Sciences and studies International Sports Managment. She is a passionate sports fan and enjoys the behind the scenes process of any event.

Alise comes from a basketball background, however since 2021 she has been an active volunteer in various sporting events such as EuroBasket 2025 as a team attache and Ice Hockey World Championship 2023 as part of the fan experience service.

Alise: "I wish for all of the students who want to continue being in the sports industry to take the opportunities that come your way - be an ambassador, go as a volunteer at a small event or do sports together with your friends. You never know what new things you will learn and what people you will meet - they might be your next colleauge."

2024- 2025 Bruno

I am an International Sport Management graduate from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, originally from Hungary. During my studies in the Netherlands, I wanted to contribute to Dutch student sport and help make the opportunities within international university sport more visible, which was one of my main motivations for becoming a FISU Student Ambassador.

During my term, I focused particularly on social media exposure, content creation and representation around the 2025 FISU events, especially the World University Games. I also had the opportunity to be a speaker and moderator during several of our monthly educational webinars and to participate in the FISU Springboard mentoring programme.

One of the highlights was experiencing the World University Games from two completely different perspectives. I competed as an alpine skier at the Torino 2025 Winter World University Games, where I finally had the chance to meet many members of Student TeamNL in person, after previously being in contact with them online through our social media campaigns. It was great to finally put faces to the people I had been working with, and we really bonded during the Games. Even though I was competing for Hungary and was not officially part of the Dutch delegation, they made me feel very welcome and I had a lot of fun being around the team.

Later that year, I experienced the other side of the World University Games by working for the Organising Committee of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Summer World University Games. Having experienced the Games both as an athlete and as part of the organisation gave me a much broader perspective on international university sport.

I currently work in the international sport industry and have gained experience across major-event operations, including the Olympic Games and Formula 1 Grands Prix, as well as sport administration. Looking back, being a FISU Student Ambassador was a great opportunity to combine my studies, my own experience as an athlete and my interest in the organisational side of sport, while representing and contributing to the student-sport community in the Netherlands.
