Stichting Studentensport Amsterdam (SSA) is the umbrella student sports organisation in Amsterdam affiliated with the USC, the sports centre for students at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and the University of Amsterdam, and the SVU, the sports centre for students at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. As SSA, we represent the interests of all sporting students in Amsterdam. We work closely with 30 different student sports associations and various other student sports providers! SSA also organises its own events, such as the well-known Amsterdam Student Sports Gala. Would you like to take part in national competitions? Then you can turn to SSA for the Amsterdam delegations to the Batavierenrace and the Groot Nederlands Studentenkampioenschap.
Delft
The SCVR promotes and supervises the contact and cooperation between X (TU Delft) and the sports and culture associations in Delft. In doing so, it represents the interests of both
parties.
Den Haag
The Student Sportsboard The Hague is committed to promoting student sports in The Hague as the fastest growing student city in the Netherlands. For example, we are the driving force behind new initiatives to get more students to play sports and we support student sports associations so that they can continue to grow. We have only recently started doing all this, because until recently The Hague did not have a student sports council. However, we can already notice that we have a positive effect on student sports and the sports climate in the city. With the GNSK 2022 on top of that, which is getting closer and closer for The Hague, the future looks very good!
Eindhoven
For 58 years, we, the ESSF, have been connecting athletes and board members of student sports associations and sharing knowledge and experience in the sports world. Sport connects and unites. Sharing makes us stronger, bigger and better. We are proud that we can support 37 student sports associations and represent their voice in Eindhoven, but also nationally. Even in times of crisis, the ESSF continues to facilitate sport and look for opportunities.
What is the ESSF?
The ESSF is the student sports umbrella organization in Eindhoven, led by a group of students who form the board for that year. They represent everyone who uses the student sports facilities, as well as the (members of) Student Sports Associations (SSV) in Eindhoven. We are very proud to be part of the Student Sports Center and to work closely with them.
Enschede
Since 2020, Enschede has again called a sports umbrella, the Sports Umbrella Twente (SUT). The SUT board is mainly concerned with representing the student sports associations (SSVs) and granting facilities to these associations. The board is part-time and consists of three to five members and the portfolio holder for Sports & Culture of the Student Union. The SUT board writes the policy for the sports sector and does not implement that policy itself. Employees and the Sports Center take on this task. Of course, the board maintains close contact with these executives.
Groningen
The ACLO, Academic Center for Physical Education, is the umbrella student sports foundation of the University of Groningen (RUG) and Hanze University of Applied Sciences (HG). The ACLO determines the sports offer especially for the students of these two institutions. The ACLO was founded in 1945 and is the largest umbrella student sports organization (OSSO) in the Netherlands. The ACLO represents Groningen student sports at national level. Nearly 19,000 students are currently working out at the ACLO. An ACLO athlete can exercise unlimited for a year for only €59.95. The ACLO is therefore the most important sports facility for students from Groningen. The ACLO is a foundation that is run exclusively by students and has its own budget. The budget is used to achieve the objectives of the ACLO.
Leeuwarden
As a student (HBO or WO) you can go to Studentensport Leeuwarden to exercise at a reduced rate. We facilitate sports lessons, events and ensure that students can exercise at the lowest rates. We think it is important that every student has the opportunity to exercise. We also bring students together.
Leiden
Stichting Studentensport Leiden is an organization that is committed to the interests of the Leiden student sports associations and their representation to the rest of the Netherlands. With our 4th anniversary, we are one of the youngest of the affiliated umbrella organizations. This may be because Leiden has naturally focused more on social clubs and less on sports. We are going to change that and together with SSN we try to make as many people as possible enthusiastic to join a student sports
association and especially to participate in the national tournaments. After all, they are the cutest of all!
Maastricht
The 29 student sports associations in Maastricht are represented by Sports Council MUSST. The MUSST ensures that the students who train at the associations can continue to exercise without any worries. The boards of the associations are therefore helped and supported by the MUSST in the best possible way. In addition to providing subsidies and looking after the interests of sports students, an important task of the MUSST is also the social connection between the associations. A good party several times a year should not be missed.
Nijmegen
The Nijmegen Student Sports Council, NSSR, is the student sports umbrella of Nijmegen! With 37 affiliated student sports associations and thousands of student athletes, our reach is very large and we try to represent the interests of student sports both inside and outside Nijmegen. We do this by maintaining contact with Radboud University, the Hogeschool van Arnhem and Nijmegen, the Radboud Sports Centre, the municipality and parties at national level. We are also proud of the sporting achievements of our student athletes: with recent wins at the GNSK and excellent performances at (inter)national level, we show that Nijmegen student sport matters!
Rotterdam
The Erasmus Sport Foundation is responsible for the operation of the Erasmus Sport Center. Erasmus Sport offers an extensive sports program during the academic year, led by enthusiastic teachers and trainers. They supervise the individual athletes or train the teams of the sports associations that are affiliated with Erasmus Sport.
Tilburg
We are FOSST, the student sports council of Tilburg. We are here to put student sports in Tilburg on the map and thereby contribute to the topic that is becoming increasingly important in today's society: student well-being. In fact, we stand up for the interests of both Tilburg individual student athletes and student sports associations. Because sports and being a student is fun and with 25 student sports
associations we know that all too well in Tilburg!
Utrecht
Hoi, wij zijn de Sportraad Utrecht! Wij zijn de belangenbehartigers van alle studentensportverenigingen in Utrecht. Wij hebben rond de 31 verenigingen onder ons die sporten samenbrengen van ultimate frisbee tot roeien, turnen of klimmen. Wij doen dit al ruim 50 jaar met veel plezier. Onze sporters sporten verspreid over heel Utrecht, maar veel ook op sportcentrum Olympos op de Uithof. Wij hebben als belangenbehartiger veel contact met de gemeente en andere partijen voor het uitbreiden van de studentensport in Utrecht. Om de saamhorigheid onder de Utrechtse studentensporters de verhogen hebben wij ook een merk: Team Utrecht. Volg ons vooral op onze socials om up-to-date te blijven van alles wat wij doen!
Vlissingen
Sports, health and sports experience. HZ Sport has member activities for weekly sports. In addition,
monthly activities to attend cool sports tournaments. Last but not least, we organize trips such as the HZ Ski trip, HZ Soccer trip and the HZ Cycling trip. At HZ Sport you get to know fellow students, you play sports together, you play friendly matches against other schools and you try a different sport! for
€49.95 per year or €29.95 per semester you can participate unlimited in: Swimming, Yoga, Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball, American Football and weekly workouts/bootcamps. You will receive 0.05 ECTS per visit to an activity of HZ Sport. At the HZ you can fill in 2.5 ECTS per year yourself. This is possible with sports!!
Wageningen
SWU Thymos is the student sports foundation of Wageningen University. Some people think that Wageningen is a boring and small city. Although we are indeed a small town, we are far from
boring. There are 32 student sports associations in Wageningen, all of which have their own training courses and activities. This makes Sports Center de Bongerd one of the most active places in the city. As Thymos, we also organize our own events and experiences, such as night canoeing in Utrecht, a dance evening and the sports night. We also have internal competitions where students can form their own team to compete against others in beach volleyball, futsal, knotsball and soccer. So Wageningen is certainly not a boring place if you like sports and SWU Thymos tries to keep it that way.
Zwolle
On Campus is not just any sports accommodation. We believe that a fit body is the basis for a balanced, social and happy existence. With that in mind, we invest in you and your body. We know
better than anyone that sports and exercise are not obvious to everyone. Your age, level or the reason to start sports or exercise: it doesn't matter to us. With three swimming pools, a fitness center, climbing wall, CrossCamp box, judo hall and fourteen gyms, you will always find a sport that suits you! Students
exercise at On Campus at an extra cost. In addition, we organize several activities per year exclusively for you. Are you from the Zwolle area? Then come by sometime!
